Mothers overlooked, reaching out, encouraging families Committee
The Mothers Overlooked, Reaching Out, Encouraging Families Committee (M.O.R.E.) is a group created with the purpose of embracing and encouraging surviving family members (not limited to mothers) of homicide victims, whether they are victims of murder, domestic violence, vehicular homicide, murder by police, or being bullied into suicide.
The goals of M.O.R.E. are to support families with their emotional and self-care needs; to have productive and positive sessions with activities to assist them; to have workshops to help families negotiate the legal system, to have advocates to help them know their rights; and to develop strategies to improve communication with the police, victim's advocates, the District Attorney's office, and families.
